Yigit vs Robles 10.09.2016 Stockholm

DSC00963

Undefeated Swedish fighter Anthony Yigit (17-0-1, 7 KOs) returns to his native Stockholm on September 10 to face Armando Robles (30-4-2, 17 KOs) in a ten-round light welterweight contest at the Hovet.

Now living and training in London, the 24 year-old is relishing a return to his hometown having left the Swedish capital to pursue his professional boxing career. His bout will provide chief support for the interim WBC Female World Welterweight title fight between Mikaela Lauren and Klara Svensson.

‘’It’s going to be great,’’ says Yigit ‘’The Hovet is close to where I grew up so it really feels like I’m fighting at home. I’ve been away for a long time. I left Stockholm in 2011 to prepare for the Olympics and have spent my pro career in London, Copenhagen and Tenerife.

‘’People have always been asking ‘when are you going to fight at home?’ and I’m excited it’s finally happening. I will have a lot of family and friends coming to support me and I want to show everybody what I have been working so hard to achieve.’’

Yigit will face a tough test in his homecoming bout with his Mexican opponent Robles aiming to inflict the Swedish fighter’s first defeat.

‘’I’ve been watching his fights and he’s a tough guy,’’ says Yigit. ‘’He’s got a good record – 36 fights, 30 wins and 2 draws – so I’m expecting an all out war. Mexican fighters are always strong and always aggressive, and Robles is no different. He will definitely be coming to win, and that suits me. These are the types of fights I want to be involved in and I’m sure we will put on a good show for the fans.’’

Tickets for the Team Sauerland show on September 10 at the Hovet in Stockholm featuring the interim WBC Female World Welterweight Championship fight between Mikaela Lauren and Klara Svensson are available online via www.globearenas.se and www.AXS.com or by calling 0771-31 00 00.

All the action will be available to watch live on Viaplay Fighting across Scandinavia. For more information please visit http://www.viaplay.se.

High class undercard fights at 10.09.2016 in Stockholm, Sweden

Naim Terbunja

Naim Terbunja (9-1, 1 KO) is the latest addition to the Nordic Fight Night on September 10 at the Hovet in Stockholm. The 31 year-old from Linkoping, who represented Sweden at the 2008 Olympic Games, will face Baptiste Castegnaro (8-8, 4 KOs) in a six-round super middleweight contest.

‘’I’m really looking forward to fighting at home in Sweden,’’ said Terbunja, whose last three fights have taken place overseas in America. ‘’I’m thankful that Nisse Sauerland and my promoter Joe Deguardia have come to an agreement to let me fight, and I want to put on a great show for everybody in Sweden.’’

Terbunja takes on the 25 year-old Frenchman Castegnaro, who has been the distance with Norwegian fighter Tim-Robin Lihaug and German Olympian Stefan Haertel, and has won his last two fights, a second-round TKO win over Bojan Radovic and a points victory over Matiouze Royer.

‘’I’ve not seen much of him yet,’’ admits Terbunja. ‘’But from first impressions, he looks tough. He’s shared the ring with some good boxers, including Stefan Haertel, who was my sparring partner for the Olympics in 2008. I plan to sit down with my team and take a closer look at him, but it looks like he comes to fight which should give me the momentum to outbox him.’’

In preparation for the bout, Terbunja will be training in New York alongside his head coach and manager Pat Zagarino, before returning to Stockholm to take his place on the big Team Sauerland show, which features the interim WBC Female World Welterweight title fight between Swedish rivals Mikaela Lauren and Klara Svensson.

‘’That’s going to be great fight,’’ he says. ‘’Klara is clearly the better and more experienced boxer, but what makes the fight competitive is Mikaela’s size. However, if Klara can use her boxing skills and not fall into a dirty fight, I believe she will win.’’

Alongside Lauren and Svensson’s hotly anticipated grudge match, the Hovet will play host to Anthony Yigit’s homecoming fight against Armando Robles, Otto Wallin’s heavyweight showdown with South African Champion Osborne Machimana and Daniel Hartvig’s welterweight clash with Krisztian Santa.

Daniel Hartvig (7-0-1, 4 KOs) will face Krisztian Santa (12-7-2, 7 KOs) on September 10 on the undercard of the interim WBC Female World Welterweight Championship clash between Mikaela Laurén and Klara Svensson at the Hovet in Stockholm.

The 31 year-old from Gothenburg returns to the Swedish capital following a hard fought draw against Nikoloz Gvajavaon on April 23, and is eager to impress with another action-packed performance.

‘’I’m really looking forward to fighting at the Hovet again,’’ said Hartvig. ‘’My last fight against Gvajava was tough, but I think we gave the crowd a lot of excitement. Sometimes I fight with my heart more than my head, it might not be the best strategy, but it makes me the type of fighter the fans love to watch.

‘’On September 10, I will give the fans another exciting performance. I know it will be a tough fight; my opponent is a good fighter with a lot of experience, but I’m ready to go all in. This will be my fourth fight for Team Sauerland since making my comeback and I want to impress.’’

Hartvig joins a star-studded Swedish line up supporting Laurén and Svensson’s hotly anticipated grudge match. Anthony Yigit makes his homecoming bout against Mexican fighter Armando Robles, while heavyweight hope Otto Wallin takes on South African Champion Osborne Machimana.

Undercard with Del Boy Chisora 10.09.2016 in Stockholm

DSC03831

Controversial British boxer Dereck Chisora (25-6, 17 KOs) is coming to Stockholm! The heavyweight star will face Drazan Janjanin (13-7, 12 KOs) on the undercard of the Swedish grudge match between Mikaela Laurén and Klara Svensson at the Hovet on September 10.

Despite a stellar career, which has seen him win British, Commonwealth and European titles and challenge Vitali Klitschko for the heavyweight crown, the 32 year-old has become well known for his controversial antics outside of the ring.

Having kissed, slapped, bitten and spat at opponents, Chisora often cuts a threatening figure. Scenes from his infamous 2012 press conference brawl with David Haye were shown around the World, leading to a blockbuster clash with the former heavyweight champion.

He was once again on the offensive earlier this year, running rampage through a Hamburg hotel after being hit with a bottle during the weigh-in for his European title fight with Team Sauerland stable mate Kubrat Pulev.

Following this altercation, Chisora missed out on the European title, losing via split decision to Pulev, but having regrouped, the British boxer and his team will attempt to launch another title assault, starting with an eight-round contest against the big punching Bosnian Janjanin.

‘’This is the fight game,’’ he says. ‘’If you lose, you have to rebuild and come back. I lost a close fight to Pulev, but I’m still in a good position. I want a rematch, but let’s see if they give it to me. Either way, there are a lot big fights out there for me, and I’m ready to fight anyone.’’

Chisora says he is looking forward to fighting in Stockholm, having never visited the city before, and plans to watch the main event unfold as Laurén and Svensson battle for the interim WBC Female World Welterweight title.

‘’I’m excited to be fighting to Sweden,’’ he says. ‘’This will be my first time in Stockholm, but I’ve heard it’s a great place. That is one of the good things about working with a big promoter like Team Sauerland; you get to fight all over Europe, and that’s one of the reasons I wanted to sign with them.

‘’They’ve also got my boy Anthony ‘Can You Dig It’ Yigit on the card. I look forward to watching his fight, and the main event. I love women’s boxing, and I think it’s a great thing to have two female fighters headlining a big show.’’

Chisora’s clash with Janjanin will provide heavyweight support for the Swedish super fight between Mikaela Laurén and Klara Svensson. The Hovet will also play host to Anthony Yigit’s homecoming fight against Armando Robles, Otto Wallin’s heavyweight showdown with South African Champion Osborne Machimana, Naim Terbunja super middleweight contest with Baptiste Castegnaro and Daniel Hartvig’s welterweight clash with Krisztian Santa.

The female fight of the Year 10.09.2016

FB_IMG_1467043471944

This fight electrify whole Sweden. These two girls just do NOT like each other.

The dispute exploded as Mikaela Laurén let the water from her bottle all over Ivana Habazin at the weights in April in Stockholm. Klara Svensson got very upset and shouted how unfair and disrespect Mikaela shows her opponent. At the fight did Klara Svensson stand in the corner of the Croatian Habazin to show her sympathy with Ivana.

Mikaela justified that it was only water and that she´s orignally a swimmer. Mikaela told that she found Ivana too hot and she just wanted to cold down her.

Mikaela is the female boxer who knows how to get publicity. In Germany at the weights 2013 she kissed her opponent Christina Hammer.

Klara Svensson has an impressing record as an amateur boxer. The difference of two weight-classes has the girls agreed to meet in the middle, it means in welter-weight.

A high explosive fight and all experts in Sweden are agreeing, no one knows who will win!
