Mazikin vs Hammer about the WBO European at 22.02.2013

ECB´s boss Erol Ceylan has promised Oleksiy Mazikin at the 28th September 2012 in Göttingen that he may fight against Christian Hammer about the WBO European title. Now this fight will take part at the 22nd February 2013 in Galati, Romania.

The promise to Mazikin was made of following reasons:

The opponent of Christian Hammer, Danny Williams, putted new additional requirements to fight in Göttingen. The EC Boss contacted Mazikin in Kharkov, Ukraine, in order for, just in case, to have a replacement opponent at hand. Mazikin acceppted and packed his suitcase and left immediately.

Danny Williams made even in the cabin demands, so to secure the fight moved also Mazikin a few yards behind Williams to the ring.  His gloves were already signed by supervisor Koko Kovacs, who was informed about this action.  Ceylan: „I was not sure until the last minute whether Williams, whose additional requests or demands I had rejected all the time, would really climb into the ring. If not, now would indeed be able to let Mazikin get in „.

The now „soft“ Williams punched actually, and he tried to box, but got out of a powerful Christian Hammer beating him twice to the ground. In round 4, was then already all over and the serious men could take a shower. Ceylan. „For his sportsmanship in Göttingen Mazikin is now receiving the promised reward.“

Biskupski has a lot of experience and Weber has to count with that Mariusz is not coming just to be bought as a loser. Maria Lindberg has got an offer to fight in middleweight about the WIBA title against Tori Nelson in Washington DC.

Tori Nelson will be fighting Teresa Perozzi, 9(1)-4-2, in a bout about the vacant WBC female middleweight title and the WBA female middleweight title in Cedarbridge Academy Gymnasium, Pembroke, Bermuda at the 2nd Feb. 2013.

Maria had planned to make a titlefight at 16.03.2013 in Germany, but has now got an offer which is very attractive.

Update fightcard Nordic Fight Night 09.02.2013 in Esbjerg, Denmark

Up-and-coming Danish hopefuls Micki Nielsen and Dennis Ceylan have been added to the Nordic Fight Night in Esbjerg on February 9. While Nielsen (5-0, 4 KOs) will come face-to-face with Josef Krivka (2-1, 2 KOs), Ceylan (3-0, 1 KO) will take on Marco Scalia (3-0, 1 KO). “Micki and Dennis could be the next Danish boxing stars,” promoter Nisse Sauerland said. “When they are fighting, there´s never a dull moment. I am sure the crowd at Blue Water Dokken will enjoy to see them in action.”

Micki is currently in training camp with his older brother Patrick, who defends his WBA Intercontinental Middleweight Title against Patrick “The Tiger” Mendy on the same bill. “We´re training very hard in Guestrow,” Micki Nielsen said. “We have big plans for 2013, I want to clinch as many KOs and as many victories as possible. I am sure it will be a good year for both Patrick and me.”

Stephan Alms gets routine resistance when he meets Antal Kubicsek (22-32-5) from Hungary by cycling / boxing tournament in Ballerup the 2nd February.
25-year-old Kubicsek has been stopped sometimes, but he has actually gone time out in most of his defeats, including against Frank Shabani in Germany and Patrick Bogere in Finland. Other recognizable names on his record list is Nick Klappert and Ruslan Schelev.
