Olympiasieger Solis gibt sein Comeback im Boxring

Der Hamburger Boxpromotor Erol Ceylan, Chef von EC Boxing, hat für sein kurzfristig am Donnerstag, den 4. August angesetzten Kampftag eine Überraschung parat. Der Olympiasieger im Schwergewicht und früherer Klitschko-Herausforderer Odlanier Solis (20 Siege/13 KOs, 3 Niederlagen) gibt nach längerer Ringabstinenz und zuletzt eher dürftigen Leistungen im neuen ECB-Gym (Normannenweg 16 – 20 in Hamburg) sein Comeback. Über sechs Runden will sich der in Miami (USA) lebende 36jährige Exil-Kubaner dem „Journeyman“ Milos Dovedan (Serbien) stellen. „Wir sind gespannt, wie sich Solis präsentiert. Vielleicht wird es ja ein gelungener Neuanfang“, hofft Erol Ceylan, der vor seinem großen Kampftag am 17. September in Göppingen (Hauptkämpfer Firat Arslan und Christian Hammer) seinen Boxern noch Beschäftigung geben will.
So präsentieren sich auch die EC Boxing-Neuzugänge Tuncay Ucar (Profi-Debut im Supermittelgewicht) und der ungeschlagene Cruisergewichtler Mario Daser (10 Siege, 4 KOs). Außerdem will Cruisergewichtler Nikola Milacic (12 Sige/ 7 Kos, 1 Niederlage) seine guten Trainingseindrücke bestätigen. „Sparring kann einen offiziellen Kampf nicht ersetzen. Außerdem ist es auch die erste Bewährungsprobe für unser neues Box-Gym“, freut sich Erol Ceylan auf die vier Fights. Mit freiem Eintritt für die Boxfans gibt es einen weiteren Bonbon. Frühes Erscheinen ist dabei angesagt (Einlass ab 18.30 Uhr), denn die Platzanzahl ist begrenzt.

Additional news concerning Solis vs Leif Larsen

Leif Larsen, 16(13)-0-0, has made sparring in Norway together with Konstantin Airich. Airich met Odlanier Solis in Texas at 19.05.2012. Airich made a hard fight for Solis in all the 12 rounds. Konstantin knows Solis and his boxing-style very well. Konstantin tells Leif Larsen after the sparring that he is sure that Leif will be able to win against Solis.

At Wednesday 12 h leaves Airich Norway. The same day at 19 h the lawyer of Arena sends a message that Solis cancelled the fight and Mr Rafael, the lawyer, does not know the reason of this decission.

Leif is convinced that the Team of Solis has heard from Airich how strong and in good shape Leif Larsen is.

Leif: – I am obviously too strong for Solis. Solis is a chicken!!

Leif and his team has prepared for this bout very well and invested a lot as well as the promoter in Madrid. They accepted all the conditions Arena/Team Solis made.

Leif says: – To drop the fight just one week before it will take part is just a joke. Solis and his team are coward!

Vitali Klitschko vs Shannon Briggs 2?

Shannon Briggs is in Dubai and watching the Boxevent Destiny in the desert II.

He declares even that he will make comeback in 2013 and fight in Dubai. Now he is targeting a rematch against Vitali Klitschko. You can read about it here:

Denis Boytsov is fit and Universum Box Promotion is even that kind of a titlefight with Vitali Klitschko. Concerning the ranking at WBC he has very good chances for that. Boytsov is #2.
