„Golden Girl“ Jemyma Betrian wird WIBF oder GBU Titelkampf am 11.05.2913 in Karlsruhe bestreiten!

Die bisher ungeschlagene Wahl Karlsruherin Jemyma Betrian aus Holland wird sehr wahrscheinlich auf der Battle III einen Titelkampf bestreiten.
Wer die Gegenerin sein wird, und um was fuer einen titel sie boxen wird bzw. darf, entscheidet sich naechste Woche.
Doch zuvor muss sie erst einmal am 6. April, Ihren WBC Female Muay Thai Welttitel in Las Vegas verteidigen.

Rematch Ali Mammadov vs Nico Salzmann?

Nico Salzmann won a split decision (SD) at Saturday 09.03.2013 in CU-Arena, Hamburg, against Ali Mammadov. Nico won the vacant WBC Baltic Silver light middleweight title.

The judges scores were:  Timo Habighorst 94-96, Dieter Adam 93-97 and Irene Kostenko 97-91.

It was a hard fight all the ten rounds, the most interesting fight of the evening. Now it seems that it could be a rematch about the title.

The team of Ali Mammadov has made a protest against the result. To expect that WBC will change the official result has to be doubted. The usual way in such cases is that the boxing organization will prolong a rematch. The spectators can definitly not complain about such a decision. That fight will be very amusing to watch.

The team of Nico Salzmann got upset as the represent of WBC went into the cabin of Salzmann and prolonged to get the belt back as it is not paid. He asked for 1.000 euro and Nico would get his belt otherwise it will be in the hands of WBC, he said. BDB has informed that the fees to WBC has been declared as paid before the bout and included even the costs of the belt. Salzmann´s team got very upset as they have seen photos of Ali Mammadov posing with the belt that just Salzmann had won.

Outside the arena people saw the manager of Mammadov had the belt under his arm leaving the arena after the event. Nico Salzmann and his team have written a letter to Sulaiman at WBC asking where the WBC Baltic Silver belt is.

Further has not the hotel-bill of Salzmann and his complete purse been paid as agreed in the contract, commented the team of Salzmann. At a rematch it can all be cleared, the outstanding bills, the belt, the result. In awaiting of a spectacular fight in a rematch everone can be happy about.

Swedish Viking Otto Wallin as pro at Sauerland

Team Sauerland is delighted to announce the signing of Otto Wallin. The Swedish heavyweight hopeful has inked a long-term deal with Europe´s biggest boxing promoters.

The 22-year-old southpaw has joined fellow countrymen Erik Skoglund and Anthony Yigit in Berlin to train under the guidance of coaches Karsten Röwer and Torsten Schmitz. “We are thrilled to add Otto to our team,” promoter Nisse Sauerland said. “This could be the beginning of a very special story. Sweden once had a great heavyweight champion, Ingemar Johansson, and we have a long history of building future champions. We helped Nikolai Valuev to become the biggest and tallest champion of all time. We have turned Robert Helenius from a successful amateur into a superstar in Finland. And we currently promote WBA Heavyweight Champion Alexander Povetkin and European Heavyweight Champion Kubrat Pulev. So Otto will get a lot of good sparring.”

Wallin will fight on the Nordic Fight Night, a revolutionary event series featuring five to seven shows in the Nordic region per year. The fights are shown by Viasat in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. “We believe that Otto has the talent to be something special,” Sauerland added. “The only way to find out is getting him the best possible training and the best boxing education. How far he goes, that´s up to him.”

Wallin starts his training in Berlin today. “I am excited to fight for Team Sauerland,” he said. “I am very happy that I get the chance to show my potential. I will train extremely hard.”

Wallin started boxing in 2006. He has 46 amateur fights (34 wins). He will make his pro debut at a show to be announced. “It´s a long way to the top,” he said. “It will require a lot of hard work, discipline and sweat. Of course my dream is to become the first Swedish heavyweight champion since Ingemar Johansson, but that´s nothing I´m thinking about right now. I just take one step at a time. For the time being, I am excited to get my professional career going and I will work hard to make a successful debut.”

EC-Quartett schlägt Samstag in Bernau kräftig zu

Der Ort ist von Promoter Hans Link sehr gut gewählt geworden! An der Tränke 30, im Sport Forum von Bernau, soll am Samstag (16. März) ab 19.30 Uhr auf seiner Veranstaltung kräftig eingeschenkt werden. Das haben ihm jedenfalls die Boxer(innen) aus Hamburg versprochen, die an diesem Abend beim Kampftag im Norden Berlins von EC-Cheftrainer Oktay Urkal gecoacht werden.

Ladies First! Weltmeisterin Klara Svensson gibt der Ungarin Zsofia Bedo eine zweite Chance. Im Mai vergangenen Jahres standen die beiden sich schon mal gegenüber. In Göppingen siegte die hübsche Schwedin haushoch nach Punkten, gewann bei allen drei Punktrichtern jede der 10 Runden. Die 25-jährige Halbweltergewichtlerin: „Ich habe mich nach unserem Duell weiterentwickelt und zwischenzeitlich den WM-Titel gewonnen, klar also, dass ich jetzt eine noch stärkere stärkere Leistung zeigen muss, das erwarten doch einfach meine Trainer, mein Boss Erol Ceylan und die Fans von mir. Deshalb werde ich es auch machen“!

Leichtgewichtlerin Natalia Smirnova aus Samara (Russland) bestreitet in Bernau ihren zweiten Profikampf. Nach ihrem erfolgreichen Debut in Galati will sie ihre gerade bei ECB in Hamburg gestartete Profilaufbahn (vorher war sie eine Weltklasse-Kickboxerin) mit einem Erfolg fortsetzen. Helga Petukov aus Ungarn sollte die 36-Jährige wohl kaum daran hindern können.

Stichwort Tränke und Einschenken – Noel Gevor wird beim Einschenken ganz sicher nicht geizen. Der Cruisergewichtler bekommt mit dem Ungarn Victor Szalai zwar einen sehr erfahrenen Kämpfer vorgesetzt ( 66 Kämpfe/18 Siege), aber das Supertalent aus Hamburg, der 22-Jährige ist übrigens der Stiefsohn von Ex-Europameister Khoren Gevor, will sich auch in seinem 7. Profikampf von dem 34-jährgen Ungarn auf dem Weg zur Weltspitze nicht bremsen lassen – und wird ihm deshalb sicher auch kräftig einschenken…

Mit Super-Weltergewichtler Denis Krieger soll in Bernau der vierte EC-Boxer in den Ring klettern, sein Gegner steht allerdings noch nicht fest. Erol Ceylan: „Ich bin aber sicher, dass rechtzeitig der richtige für ihn gefunden wird“.
