Arthur Abraham: Ohne WM-Titel höre ich nicht auf!
Klare Ansage von Arthur Abraham vor seinem schweren Kampf am Samstag (Messe Erfurt, ab 22.30 Uhr live im MDR) gegen Robin Krasniqi. „Ohne WM-Titel höre ich garantiert nicht auf“, sagt Abraham. Die erste Hürde muss der Berliner Profiboxer in drei Tagen überwinden. Dann steht ihm mit Robin Krasniqi ein harter Brocken gegenüber. Dem Sieger winkt im „WBO-Eliminator“ eine baldige Chance auf eine Weltmeisterschaft. Für den Verlierer wird es indes ganz hart. Eine Niederlage könnte das Karriereende bedeuten!
„Egal, wer vor mir steht, muss geschlagen werden. Ich möchte Robin jetzt nicht loben, wir respektieren uns. Aber im Ring geht es zur Sache und ich will und werde gewinnen“, sagt Abraham. Sein Coach Ulli Wegner, der mit seinem „Liebling“ schon alle Höhen und Tiefen im Profisport durchgemacht hat, spricht vor dem Duell in Erfurt Klartext. Wegner: „Es geht um Alles für Arthur! Es ist Arthurs letzte Chance auf eine Weltmeisterschaft. Jetzt wird es ernst. Wir nehmen die Sache sehr, sehr ernst, denn Arthur hat zum Ausdruck gebracht, wo er hin will!“
Klar, wieder nach oben, auf den Thron! Abraham brennt auf den Fight gegen Krasniqi. „Ich habe im Training alles gegeben. Bin völlig fokussiert auf Krasniqi.“ Doch in seinen Gedanken ist er längst ein, zwei Schritte weiter. „Es ist kein Geheimnis, ich werde nicht ewig boxen. Ich habe eine Familie und möchte mit ihnen Zeit verbringen, doch ich bin noch hungrig auf sportliche Erfolge. Ich will einfach meinen Gürtel zurück – dann kann ich (vielleicht) aufhören, vorher definitiv nicht“, sagt der Ex-Weltmeister vehement.

It’s official! Klara Svensson (17-1, 5 KOs) will challenge female pound-for-pound number one Cecilia Brækhus (29-0, 8 KOs) for the WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF Female World Welterweight titles on January 28 at the Oslo Spectrum in Norway.
The two fighters came face-to-face at a press conference today in the Norwegian capital ahead of their hotly anticipated Scandinavian showdown next month.
‘’I am looking forward to finally meeting Cecilia in the ring on January 28,’’ said Svensson. ‘’I have been dreaming about this opportunity for a long time, and I am happy that this fight has been confirmed. I have a lot of respect for Cecilia, she is a great athlete, but I’m very confident I can win.’’
Brækhus who returns to the Oslo Spectrum for a second time following her TKO victory over Anne Sophie Mathis in October, is equally confident of defeating her Nordic rival.
‘’My last fight ended quite quickly, I left the arena without any injuries and was able to return to training soon after,’’ said Braekhus. ‘’My goal for this fight is the same as my last. I’m going to be better than Svensson in every area – technique, tactics, strength and footwork. I will win and I will do it before the 10th round ends.’’
Said Team Sauerland promoter Nisse Sauerland: ‘’We’re happy to have finalised negotiations for this fight. This is going to be a great match-up for the fans. You have the current female pound-for-pound number one against the young hungry challenger, and the rivalry between Sweden and Norway will of course give it an extra spice. We believe Klara is ready for this fight, Cecilia has been a great champion, but now it is time for Klara to take her place at the top of the division!’’
Tim-Robin Lihaug fights Saturday 3 Dec in Sofia, Bulgaria
Tim-Robin Lihaug (15-2, 8 KOs) returns to the ring on December 3 when he travels to the Arena Armeec in Sofia to face Gergo Horvath (9-2-1, 5 KOs).
The Norwegian boxer will be fighting on the undercard of Kubrat Pulev’s long awaited homecoming fight with Samuel Peter for the WBA Intercontinental Heavyweight title.
It will be Lihaug’s first fight back since meeting two-weight World Champion Arthur Abraham in July, an experience he believes will stand him in good stead for the future.
‘’For me, the Abraham fight was proof I belong at the highest level,’’ he said. ‘’I learnt a lot from that fight and when I’m in the same situation again, I know I will win.’’
The 24 year-old will now be campaigning at light heavyweight, having decided to move up in weight following the Abraham fight.
‘’Recently, I’ve really struggled to make super middleweight, especially against Abraham,’’ he reveals. ‘’At light heavyweight, I feel much stronger. I’m hitting harder, I’m more explosive and it just suits me better.’’
Lihaug can now look forward to showcasing his skills in front of 15,000 fans in the Bulgarian capital, as he looks to get back to winning ways against the Hungarian Horvath.
‘’It’s amazing to get the chance to fight in front of such a big audience,’’ he says. ‘’I’m looking forward to showing everybody what I can do. My opponent has a decent record, but I’m fit, I’m sharp, and I’ll be ready for whatever he has to offer.’’

Artur Grigorian ist seit 6 Wochen in Saarland um sein Schützling Jürgen Doberstein auf seine härteste Aufgabe vorbereiten. Der talentierte Saarländer trifft am 15.07.2016 den sehr erfahrene Boxer Robin Haxhi Krasniqi. Für Krasniqi wird es sein 50. Profikampf. Trainer Dirk Dzemski ist sicher das Robin sein WBA-Titel behalten wird. Dieser Kampf hat wirklich etwas in sich. Doberstein ist beweglich und schnell und hat wirklich Herz für Boxen und einen riesen Lust um zu gewinnen. Ob er es gegen Krasniqi auch schafft werden wir sehen. Höchst spannender Duell!
Nikki Adler alias Nikolina Orlovic wird die Georgerin Elene Sikmashvili vor die Fäuste bekommen.
Im Mittelgewicht wird der Karlsruher Aro Schwartzgegen Ziso Poulitsa aus Leipzig in die Seile klettern, ein brisantes Duell ist da zu erwarten.
