Boytsov is preparing for fight

Denis Boytsov, heavyweight, 31(25)-0-0, is in training with coach Owen Reese in Hamburg. He is preparing for is next fight. It is planned to be at the 9th Feb 2013. Place and opponent will be announced later on.

Denis Boysov is not making his trainings-sessions at Universum Boxing Promotions locals at Dima Sport-Center. Universum is in bankrupcy, but the boss Waldemar Kluch means he has transferred the contract with Denis Boytsov to another company.

Promising Russian heavyweight Denis Boytsov visited the night of boxing Sauerland Event in Hamburg (Germany) a video interview appreciated what he saw:

– Dennis, how do you like the fight Povetkin-Rahman?
– Good fight. Enemy – an experienced boxer with a good school – Rahman boxed and with Lewis. Povetkin is a good start and got in round 2. Rahman old and he should end his career. Congratulations on winning Povetkin.

– What do you think about the battle-Pulev Ustinov?
– I came later and did not see the fight, they say, the fight was intense, they are boxed in a quiet pace.

– It’s time to fight Povetkin fighters?
– Perhaps, in 2013, even if managers agree. I want to become a world champion.

– Your next fight will be on October 12th?
– Maybe. That’s not decided yet.

– The fight on December 22 in Moscow?
– This is also not decided yet.

Denis Boytsov: I am ready for Klitschko

Denis Boytsov has now got a second coach, the new head coach at Universum Box Promotion Anthony Brooks.

He will even train together with Artur Grigorian who brought Denis to Universum in Hamburg some years ago. Artur and Denis do know each other pretty well and have no intentions to end working together. Denis Boytsovs hand is in order, no problem with it anymore since a while.

– I am ready for the Klitschkos now. I have fought a lot of boxers and I am now placed on the top in most rankings. To fight Vitali Klitschko it seems to give no opportunities. Vitali will fight Manuel Charr in September. I see that he will win this fight to 100%. Then next year he will fight David Haye and Shannon Briggs, then it was. Vitali is ending his career.

My focus is on a bout against Wladimir. He cannot run away from me, I am on the top in all rankings and it would be nice to get a fight against him.

Denis rate his chances to beat Wladimir Klitschko to 50%. That sounds very realistic and without any overtuned promotions that he will destroy him or is the one who will knock-out and cut the head of Klitschko.

The opponents of Wladimir Klitschko is time to be someone with qualities, which we have missed the last times. Mormeck was definitly not the hardhitting boxer, but Denis Boytsov is absolutly hard-hitting. Will the bout be realized in 2013?
