Friday 3rd July are Prize Boxing Promotions sponsored by „Eat me I´m famous“ arranging a great boxing event in Naxxar. It will be an open-air event at the Ex Trade Fare Ground. Last year it was 2500 spectators and this year is Demis and Doulton Tonna expecting over 4000 spectators!
Steve Martin, well-known as the Super-Steve, will continue his boxing career and show the audience who is the best boxer in Malta. His title-fight versus Graham Earl made clear what potential this light welter weight boxer does have,

Gladiators Fight Night 9 at Dolmen Hotel in Bugibba at 29.11.214 was a sold-out event. The audience were lucky to see high-class combat sport.
Mixed with the kick-boxing and K1 was even boxing. Totally 16 bouts made it to a long and great Saturday fight night. The Maltese spectators got even to see talented boxers who definitely have a chance to be big names in the international boxing scene. The Libyan Malik Alzanat who lives since five years in Malta is for sure the best boxer we can enjoy in Malta. The 21 year old boxer from Brown Boxing Gym is a rising star. Just watch the video with his fight!
Malik Alzanat won his boxing fight vs Torre Riccardo, 28 y.o. rom Italy, with KO in round 1 at time 1:10.

Richard Vella won a TKO in R2 at 0:53 vs Ciccio Saporito.
Garth Galea did even not use the full bout time of 6 rounds. After ending the third round the Italian opponent gave up and did not start the forth round. Result TKO R4, time 0:00.
Christian Schembri should have been boxing but it got changed to a K1 fight in the last minute. The change was not in Christian’s favour. He lost in round 1 at time 1:15. Next time will Schembri be back at boxing. The injury he got in his head was treated of the doctor and we wish Christian to be well very soon.
Next time it will be his day again.

The professional bout with Tyrone Borg was the first time that Tyrone did not win on a KO. The great boxer Nando Calzetta with a MBA-license had a hard chin and even Tyrone’s hart punchers did not bring Nando down on the floor. Nando is a quick and clever boxer. The score-cards were 2 x 60-54 and 58-56 n favour to Tyrone Borg who won a UD.
Tyrone was not so sure himself about the scoring because it was a very close fight. The hard and clean punchers from Tyrone convinced the judges. It was a new experience for Borg and he showed that he can even fight more then one or two rounds.
Promoters liked the technique and heart to box of Calzetta, so we will be able to enjoy him in the ring in Malta in the future. Welcome to Malta, Nando!

Prize Boxing Promotions with Demis and Doulton Tonna goes from success to success. A sold-out event. Again!
The lucky audience who got one of the 1200 tickets could see boxing on a high level.
A long fight night with 12 bouts. The professional bout was Tyrone Borg, light heavy weight vs Attila Mata, a Hungarian boxer with Maltese license. Attila has mainly been boxing in MMA. The brave Hungarian could not bring much against the hard puncher Tyrone. In the first round Mata was mostly running away from the hard puncher. After getting hit hardly from „El Terrible“ Borg the referee consulted with the corner of Mata and decided to not continue to the second round. It ended after just one round that Tyrone won on all score-cards. Result: TKO R2 time 0:00.
Best fight of the event did Garth Galea who defended WBU International against Stephen Littlewood. It was a fabulous fight with amazing speed. What an enjoying fight! The fight ended in the 3rd round at 0:38 with a TKO.
Christian Schembri made a brilliant fight. He was the whole time attacking and hitting his opponent. Perry Scobes turned his back to Christian who continued attacking him until the referee said stop. Perry was seemed even to get mentally destroyed. He meant the ref has said stop when he turned around but the ref confirmed that he commanded stop later as Schembri boxed him at the ropes. Perry lost his mind and got out of the ring. His sign of giving up starts with turning around and suddenly even to leave the ring. Scobes is a good boxer, but it was just not his day and Schembri was the man who ruled the game in the ring. Result: TKO R2 at 1:20.
Richard Vella won the PBP International title with a UD of 6 rounds against Molnar Zsolt.
The event was sanctioned of the Malta Boxing Association.
