Manuel Charr: Fight Povetkin does not interest me

A former contender for the title of world champion in the heavyweight Manuel Charr was in Hamburg on the evening of boxing Sauerland Event. In the video interview Charr expressed his opinion on the fight Povetkin-Rahman, gave good advice and the American said that the battle with the „regular“ champion does not interest him.

„Povetkin was ready to fight with Rahman, he worked hard and wanted to give the fans a good show. Unfortunately, Rahman arrived with a large excess weight, his face was covered with moisture – it „weakens“ chin – smiling, said Charr. – Unfortunately, the battle ended quickly. I do not want to say anything bad about Rahman – the legendary boxer in the past. He was trying to do something, but not everyone can be George Foreman. My advice to him: it is time to end an active career. This is not the Rahman as he was before. “

To the question whether he wants to fight Povetkin, Charr said no. „Povetkin – not for me. I want the stars, hunt for Klitschko. In Povetkin belt world champion – I do not know what that title. Super champion – is Wladimir Klitschko. I would like to fight with Wladimir or Vitali. I’m ready again. Should someone with strong balls to go Klitschko. And I went to fight with Klitschko: I have only 10 fights as an amateur and 21 pro fight, but I took the fight. I was called to Moscow underdog, but I went to win. I promise you, dear boxing fans: I will continue now and bring home. „
