Kessler is willing to fight Froch again

Mikkel Kessler has noticed that Carl Froch has eyes of fighting Bute, Ward and Kessler in 2013.

– I am willing to meet Carl again. Let me just finish the job with Brian Magee at Dec 8th in Herning, then I am interested and willing to fight Carl again. I won the last time and I will win again. The fight against Froch I am willing to do anytime, anywhere.

Carl, enjoy your belt as long as you have it. Against me you will lose the title, said Mikkel Kessler.

Kessler vs Magee in Herning, Denmark at 8th Dec 2012

Mikkel Kessler vs Brian Magee will take part in Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning at 08.12.2012.

The WBA-title-fight in super middleweight is now official. The Boxen in Herning, Denmark, has a capacity of 15.000 spectators. In Herning Mikkel fought against Perdomo and Froch.

Team Sauerland is delighted to confirm that Mikkel Kessler (45-2, 34 KOs) will challenge Brian Magee (36-4-1, 25 KOs) for the WBA Super-Midd

leweight World Championship at Jyske Bank BOXEN in Herning on December 8. Tickets will go on sale at BILLETnet/Ticketmaster on Monday, October 1, at 10 am. “I look forward to fighting in Herning again,” the Viking Warrior said. “The atmosphere was fantastic last time when I fought Carl Froch. The fans made the difference that night, their support really lifted me to one of my greatest victories. With their help, I will become world champion again on December 8.”

Kessler only has the best memories of Herning. In September 2009, he stopped Gusmyr Perdomo to pave his way into the Super Six World Boxing Classic. In April 2010, he then defeated WBC Super-Middleweight Champion Carl Froch in what many thought was the greatest fight ever on Danish soil. “The fans raised the roof that night,” promoter Kalle Sauerland said. “History repeats itself, we expect a sell-out crowd, a fantastic fight and another world title for the Viking Warrior.”

Sauerland is sure that Kessler will take out the “Dane Killer” Magee, who has stopped Mads Larsen and Rudy Markussen. “It´s up to Mikkel to restore the Danish fighting pride,” Sauerland added. “But when he is at the top of his game, nobody can stop him. His KO over Allan Green was impressive. Magee is the next in line to taste the wrath of the Viking Warrior.”

Kessler and Magee will be fighting for the regular WBA Super-Middleweight World Championship. More details will be announced at a press conference in the near future.

Mikkel Kessler get 1 mio $

Mogens Palle has the right of Brian Magees fight and he offered 1 mio USD to Mikkel Kessler for this bout. Brain Magee will get 500.000 USD. Mogens Palle has planed for this move for a long time. He was trying to get the bout Karoly Balzsay vs Brian Magee. The purse bid won Team Magee. Balzsay was the WBA Champ, but after his fight against Dimitri Sartison he complained about not getting his purse. To WBA Balzsay wrote that he had problem with his back and injured to take the bout against Brian Magee. So did Mogens Palle reach the WBA belt for Magee and was able to chose opponent. His dream was a fight with the boxer who he managed before, Mikkel Kessler. The dream came through.

Rudy Markussen tells Mikkel he is ready to make sparring with Mikkel and help him to win this fight.

Mads Larsen says he is convinced that Mikkel will win the fight against Magee. Mads even wants to box further.

Kessler vs Magee in Copenhagen in december 2012

Prior to Saturday´s Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn, Team Sauerland is delighted to confirm that Mikkel Kessler (45-2, 34 KOs) will challenge Brian Magee (36-4-1, 25 KOs) for the WBA Super-Middleweight World Championship in Denmark later this year. The date and the venue will be announced in due time. “This will be a massive event, I believe the whole country will get behind Mikkel,” promoter Kalle Sauerland said. “He can become world champion for a record fourth time and restore the Danish boxing pride by avenging the bitter KOs of Rudy Markussen and Mads Larsen. It´s taken a while but now all is signed and sealed – except for the venue and the date, which we expect to be finalised shortly. Magee will feel the wrath of the Viking Warrior! It´s a question of honour!”

After stopping Mads Larsen (January 2010) and Rudy Markussen (February 2012), Magee will be looking to complete his Danish KO hat-trick. At the same time, Kessler will be trying to become world champion for a fourth time, having proved his class with a spectacular KO victory over Allan Green at PARKEN in May. His one-punch knock-out has been dubbed as a potential KO of the year. “I look forward to fighting Magee,” the Viking Warrior said. “He´s a good boxer with a lot of heart. It takes something to come to Denmark and knock out both Mads and Rudy. But his winning streak will end when we meet. I am very keen to be world champion again and Magee cannot prevent this from happening. It will be interesting as I think it will be a little like a national team match, I am a proud Dane and this guy will take a beating for having knocked out my countrymen.”

Magee is convinced he will claim another prominent Danish scalp. “I am ready for the hat-trick of KO´s,” he said. “I´ve stopped Larsen, I´ve stopped Markussen and now it´s Kessler´s turn. He´s a great fighter, no doubt about that, but I have the tools to break him. He ran from a fight earlier in the year after he was ringside and witness to the destruction of Markussen but now I have him and he will go the same way. I have already commenced early training and I am working on a fight plan with my coach Bernardo Checa. Denmark has been good to me and I am happy to be going back.“

Further details about the Kessler-Magee fight will be announced after Saturday´s Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn. At Arena Nord, Patrick Nielsen defends his WBA Intercontinental Middleweight Title against Spaniard Jose Yebes. The card also features the “Pacquiao Mayweather of women´s boxing” – the showdown between WBA / WBC / WBO Female Welterweight Champion Cecilia Braekhus and French KO queen Anne Sophie Mathis. Mogens Palle will unbedingt Kessler-Kampf

Die Verhandlungen zwischen Chris Meyer, Sauerland Events, und Pat Magee, Manager von Brian Magee, endete am Wochenende. Magee teilte mit das sie einen anderen Kampf sehr nah zum Abschluss stehen.  Dann mischt sich Mogens Palle, Mikkel Kesslers ehemaliger Manager,  ein und bietet 1 Mio US Dollar für den Kampf Magee vs Kessler in Dänemark im Oktober-November 2012 an.

Chris Meyer und Kalle Sauerland sind ziemlich überrascht auf Palles Angebot. Von Mikkel Kesslers Seite ist auch nicht mit Jubel zu rechnen. Mikkel wechselte von Palle nach Sauerland, da er sehr unzufrieden mit Palle war.

Meyer meint das Angebot dient hauptsächlich um mediale Aufmerksamkeit zu erreichen. Warum macht er das Angebot mit 1 Mio USD, weil es besser klingt als 800.000 Euro oder 6 Mio dänische Kronen?

Sauerland kann auch nur Mikkel  in Dänemark boxen lassen wenn sie selbst Promoter sind, wegen die bindende Verträge mit Partnern in Skandinavien (Viasat). In England wäre es etwas anders Z B., aber in Dänemark lässt es sich nicht machen.

Auf jeden Fall intressant zu sehen wie es weiter geht. Gut vermarktbar wäre diesen Kampf in Dänemark immerhin. Brian Magee hat in Dänemark die beide Dänen Rudy Markussen  und Mads Larsen ausgeknockt bzw. in 7. Runde mit TKO gewonnen. So eine dänische Rache von Mikkel Kessler wäre bestimmt gern gesehen.

Karoly Balzsay verletzt

Karoly Balzsay hat beim Training eine Rückenverletzung erlitten. Der WBA Weltmeister sollte eine Titelverteidigung gegen den interim Titelträger Brian Magee am 22.09.2012 in Belfast boxen, nach dem Kampf für 07.07.2012 in Kopenhagen verschoben wurde.

Balzsay hat einen Arztattest beim WBA vorgelegt. Team Magee hat den Purse Bid für diesen Kampf ersteigert und nun darf Magee einen Herausforder aus den Top 15 nehmen. Der Titelkampf wird für Oktober-November geplant.

Die Börse vom Kampf in Schwerin gegen Sartison hat Balzsay noch nicht erhalten, andere Aussenstände zwischen Balzsay und Universum Box Promotion bestehen nicht. Die neue Börse für den Kampf gegen Magee wurde er zugesagt im Voraus bezahlt zu bekommen, um  ihn zu überzeugen das auch seine Aussenstände demnächst geregelt wird. Leider kam die Verletzung dazwischen.

Es ist stark zu vermuten das Magee und sein Team einen Kampf gegen Mikkel Kessler anstreben.

Mikkel Kessler verlängert bei Sauerland bis zum 2014

Three-time world champion Mikkel Kessler (45-2, 34 KOs) has signed an early contract extension with Team Sauerland until 2014. “I look forward to continuing our successful cooperation,” Kessler said. “It has been great to work with Wilfried, Kalle and Nisse Sauerland. I owe it to my fantastic fans to prove myself against the world´s best boxers and thanks to Team Sauerland, I can do just that. They have big plans for me and that suits me well.”

The Viking Warrior has been fighting under the Sauerland promotional banner ever since September 2009 when a TKO victory over mandatory WBA Super-Middleweight Title challenger Gusmyr Perdomo set the stage for the Super Six World Boxing Classic tournament. “In the past three years, we have been through a lot – inside and outside the ring,” Kalle Sauerland said. “The excitement of the Super Six tournament, the shocking defeat in Oakland against Andre Ward, the epic comeback victory over previously unbeaten Carl Froch, the injury setbacks and last but not least the impressive destruction of Allan Green in Copenhagen – all this has formed a very special bond between us. We will now carefully plan the next steps to make sure Mikkel will be remembered as one of the biggest fighters in the history of boxing. He already ranks up there with the all-time greats but in the next fights he can build his very own legacy, a legacy that will be remembered not just in Denmark, Europe or America but all over the world. The sky is the limit for the Viking Warrior!”

Details about Kessler´s next fight will be announced in due time as “negotiations are currently under way”, according to Sauerland.

Kessler in USA, next opponent Pavlik?

Kalle Sauerland from Team Sauerland have been in the USA and he is very optimistic about the negotiations with american broadcasters. HBO seems to be willing to show Mikkel Kesslers fight in USA. Kelly Pavlik will be a possible opponent.

Pavlik is very well seen in the USA and at HBO.

The other opponents to be meeting Mikkel in the ring could be Andre Ward and Chad Dawson. They are fighting at 8. Sept at „Made in America“, so both of them can take place in the beginning of 2013.

Lucian Bute has decided to make a rematch against Carl Froch. Mikkels possibility to fight against Froch in England will even have to be realized later on.

Brian Magee is another opponent for Mikkel and Magee will be a good show in Denmark, as Magee knocked out both Mads Larsen and Rudy Markussen in Denmark. The danish revenge is defintily wanted!

The most money will definitly be made in the US. So Pavlik seems today to be the choice of Kessler´s next opponent.

Froch vs Kessler, Teil 2, in England im Oktober?

Carl Frochs Promoter Eddie Hearn erzählt das für sie das Ziel Nr 1 ist einen Rekampf gegen Mikkel Kessler in Großbritannien im Oktober.

Hearn glaubt nicht das Lucian Bute wird seine Option um einen Rekampf benutzen. Mikkel war selbst in Nottingham beim Fight Froch vs Bute und er hat da vor Ort gesagt dass er gerne nach England kommt um gegen Carl Froch zu boxen. Froch wartet sehnsüchtig auf diese Möglichkeit. Sie sehen in England es einfach 20.000 Eintrittskarten für einen Fight Kessler vs Froch zu verkaufen.
