Ein Tag vor dem WM-Kampf zwischen Wladimir Klitschko (Schwergewichtsweltmeister WBA, IBF, WBO und IBO) versus Mariusz Wach, trafen sich IBO-Präsident Edward S. Levine und BDF-Repräsentant Jimmy Jamal Abboud, um die Zusammenarbeit zwischen IBO und BDF perfekt zu machen. „Jetzt haben wir mit der IBO einen sehr großen, starken und vor allem internationalen Partner,“ freut sich Jimmy Jamal Abboud. Die IBO sieht in der Zusammenarbeit die Möglichkeit weitere große Kämpfe nach Deutschland zu holen.
Vor zwei Wochen leitete Artur Ellensohn (Vize-Präsident des BDF) das Treffen am Rande der WBO-Convention in Miami Florida ein. Grundlage der Zusammenarbeit ist die langjährige Freundschaft zwischen Artur Ellensohn und IBO-Präsident Edward S. Levine.
