Maria Lindberg, WIBF and WIBA World Champion, saw the fight between Cecilia Braekhus and Anne Sophie Mathis.
– Before the fight I told that the fight will Cecilia win when it will go all the rounds. She will convince the judge. Braekhus did convince the judge and me, too. Mathis was trying too hard to knock-out Braekhus. Lot of her shots were not precisly, just shots in the air. Cecilia did a lot of holding and Mathis was not able to make the pressure to Cecilia, what is definitly necessary to beat her.
The referee Jürgen Langos I found was very good. He didn´t brake the fight that often, so that the boxers could go on fighting.
I know how to beat Cecilia and I would love to do it. Very much I would be glad to fight her in Copenhagen. Such an event would bring a lot of fans from Malmö and the rest of Sweden. Gladly I would see Jürgen Langos as a referee, but on the other hand it is equal who is referee. I will convince all the judges and all spectators who will be the winner.
Have a look on my last fights this year and you can see my style. The oppponents don´t became any seconds free of my shots. Last opponent has Cecilia met twice and both times she used all the rounds to beat her. I needed just two rounds! In round two at 1 minute 55 seconds the bout was finished.
Maria Lindberg, 7(2)-1-2, will be in the ring at Oct 12th 2012 in Hamburg, meeting the tough german Jennifer Retzke, 12(9)-1-0.
Maria Lindberg, WIBF and WIBA World Champion, wants to fight Cecilia Braekhus!
– My last challenger I won with TKO after just 1 minute 55 seconds in the second round. Cecilia has met Goranova twice and she had to use all the rounds to win on points against her both times. Today, I will watch the bout between Cecilia Braekhus and Anne Sophie Mathis. Anne Sophie is hard-hitting and it can happen that she will knockout Cecilia. If the fight will go all the rounds I think Cecilia will convience the judge. Very much I would love to fight in Denmark and especially in Copenhagen. Against Cecilia Braekhus I am ready anytime!
Maria Lindberg is training at Viking-pro Boxing Team in Malmö with her coach Bert V. Johansson-Munk. A fight in Copenhagen with Maria would definitly bring a lot of fans from Malmö and the rest of Sweden.
Even a spectacular fight was Maria´s fight against Christina Hammer. WBF named it the Female Fight of The Year 2011!
Maria Lindberg will now fight at Hamburg Fight Night the 12th October 2012 in Wandsbeker Sporthalle, Hamburg.

Maria Lindberg vann överlägset sin tionde boxningsmatch. Efter en slagserie i andra ronden bröt domaren och handduken kastades samtidigt in från motståndarens hörna. Maria gav Borislava Goranova ingen som helst chance. Ingen har stoppat Goranova så tidigt innan. Anne Sophie Mathis har mött Borislava och vunnit alla tre gångerna. Tidigare har fjärde ronden varit den kortaste matchen för henne, men igår i Berlin satte Maria stoppför Borislava redan efter 1 min 55 sek i andra ronden!
Borislava Goranova från Bulgarien har boxat hela 38 gånger och mött Anne Sophie Mathis tre gånger och Cecilia Braekhus två gånger.
Det gav säkert lycka att förre IBF-världsmästaren Sebastian Sylvester hjälpte att lägga bandaget tillsammans sin cutman på Maria. De fattade tycke för den sympatiska Malmöbaxaren och kom överens om att de hjälper henne igen den 16:e november på den stora IBF-titelgalan i Greifswald.
Galan i Berlin som Maria boxade på arrangerades utav Eva Rolle, PrimeTime Eventmanagement. Maria som är medlem i BDB sedan 2008 fick sitt starttillstånd utav dem, som GBA accepterade. GBA fick dessutom insyn i Marias och BDB:s mediciniska underlag och de kunde därmed konstatera att varken BDB eller EBU har haft någon spärr mot Maria sedan dess.
Andra boxare på programmet var Robert Rolle som gjorde comeback i sin match The Gladiator is back, också hans match varade bara två ronder. Levon Hakobyan alias Leon Harth, som är en talent som Sebastian Sylvester har upptäckt och är manager för, fanns även att se på denna mycket intressanta gala.
