Maria Lindberg, WIBF and WIBA World Champion, saw the fight between Cecilia Braekhus and Anne Sophie Mathis.
– Before the fight I told that the fight will Cecilia win when it will go all the rounds. She will convince the judge. Braekhus did convince the judge and me, too. Mathis was trying too hard to knock-out Braekhus. Lot of her shots were not precisly, just shots in the air. Cecilia did a lot of holding and Mathis was not able to make the pressure to Cecilia, what is definitly necessary to beat her.
The referee Jürgen Langos I found was very good. He didn´t brake the fight that often, so that the boxers could go on fighting.
I know how to beat Cecilia and I would love to do it. Very much I would be glad to fight her in Copenhagen. Such an event would bring a lot of fans from Malmö and the rest of Sweden. Gladly I would see Jürgen Langos as a referee, but on the other hand it is equal who is referee. I will convince all the judges and all spectators who will be the winner.
Have a look on my last fights this year and you can see my style. The oppponents don´t became any seconds free of my shots. Last opponent has Cecilia met twice and both times she used all the rounds to beat her. I needed just two rounds! In round two at 1 minute 55 seconds the bout was finished.
Maria Lindberg, 7(2)-1-2, will be in the ring at Oct 12th 2012 in Hamburg, meeting the tough german Jennifer Retzke, 12(9)-1-0.
