The Swedish light middleweight boxer Maria Lindberg, World Champion of GBU, WIBF and WIBA is focusing on further titles.
Maria Lindberg, 11(5)-1-2, is living in Hamburg, Germany, and expecting her next fight in May 2015. It seems to be a title fight for her coming up. In Hamburg she has found a coach she is feeling very comfortable to train with, Artur Grigorian. Artur, a former box champion does understand Maria´s style of boxing and is adding some ideas to raise her performance.
To go down one weight class and to fight Cecilia Braekhus is Maria´s aim in the first line. Hopefully it can take place in 2015.
Further would Maria love to fight the WBC champion Mikaela Laurén, who has the same weight class as Maria. A fight would be very possible to arrange in Germany. The Swedish Boxing Federation has banned Maria for an accident happened over 11 years ago. Every year has Maria been checked and she has her license from BDB, Germany, since over seven years. She has made several fights and over 1000 rounds of sparring without any accident or medical problems. Maria is top fit and trains hard every day.
The loss against Christina Hammer in a weight class higher is disturbing Maria´s record and she is still waiting of a rematch against champion Christina Hammer.
Maria Lindberg has her aims and her focus in boxing. This boxer is now living her life: to box!
