Adrian „The Pike“ Granat won his 10th bout in Hamburg, Germany, against the very experienced Michael Sprott. Sprott has made 66 bouts in his career and is a great boxer. Michael even won a fight vs Edmund Gerber in Germany on a MD.
In the start it was obvious that Sprott is experienced and moved away and gave Adrian a battle, Michael even showed he is not afraid and provocated without any guard. Adrian let his name Granat (Grenade) being true and exploded. After first knock-down Sprott stood up and referee Jörg Milke let the fight continue. Adrian has now got his killer instinct and at 2:55 minutes the game was over. A heavy knock-out and Sprott falled hard down. Ref Milcke helped Sprott to his corner.
The coach Hearns told later that he was not happy that his guy took the fight at all. Michael is 41 y.o. and sometime you have to finish and think about your helath, Herns meant. Michael himself who is two years older then Wladimir Klitschko confirmad that with the age he´s gone slowly.
But Sprott has still the fighting spirit and is thinking about returning to fight Christian Hammer or anybody else.
The former German boxing hero Axel Schulz was even impressed of the 120 kg Swedish Dynamite. Axel Schulz is sure we will see Granat high-ranked very soon. He even meant that Sprott is definitely no bad boxer at all.
At the Sauerland Event on Saturday did even Dereck Chisora and Kubrat Pulev fight. Will we see Granat fighting these boxers in 2016?
Adrian is happy about his short fight, but he told that he would even like to box some more rounds. As Adrian told in the ring that he´s nowadays living in Hamburg the German audience gave him great applause.
Three weeks before this fight took Adrian Granat part on Wladimir Klitscko´s camp in Austria and made sparring with Wladimir. Pianeta did even use Adrian to make sparring for his bout vs Klitschko as well.
Adrian „The Pike“ Granat is for sure on his way to the top 10 in boxing!
How far will he go 2016? Bakhtov will maybe be his next opponent before it is time for the titles.
