Abdul Khattab (11-0, 3 KOs) promises another convincing performance when he faces Howard Cospolite (11-4-1, 5 KOs) May 2 at Frederiksberg-Hallerne, Copenhagen.
“Cospolite looks like a guy who wants to get into a brawl, but I will outsmart him and teach him a boxing lesson,” said Khattab oozing self-confidence.
“My two fights this year have gone from one of my worst performances, to one of my best. In the last fight people saw the real Khattab and that’s what you will see again at Frederiksberg.
Perhaps I will knock Cospolite out, but winning is the most important to me. It’s about my continuous development. I must stay calm and be patient. I know it’s a cliché, but it’s important that I don’t use the same force I did against Alexey Ribchev in February.“
Against experienced Ribchev, Khattab surprisingly ran out of steam in the last rounds. However, only five weeks later Khattab outboxed Khutsishvili with a career topping performance according to his coach and mentor, former five-time world champion Mikkel Kessler.
“Patience is key, but it is also important to show good and varied boxing skills with many combinations, like I displayed against Mikheil Khutsishvili. The demons from the Ribchev-fight are now gone and I can’t wait to impress again. The real Khattab is back and here to stay!”

Micki Nielsen (17-0, 12 KOs) headlines the show in Copenhagen in his first title defence against the undefeated Junior Anthony Wright (13-0-1, 11 KOs) for the WBC International Cruiserweight Title. On the same night the ‘Swedish Princess’ Klara Svensson (15-0, 5 KOs) challenges Erica Anabella Farias (21-1, 10 KOs) for the WBC Female World Light Welterweight crown.
